Dr. Edward J. Fox, Jr. left an indelible mark on the Latin community during his 25 years as Headmaster. Arriving in 1976, he was well-suited to run a school of Latin’s caliber, placing emphasis on education and growth. Dr. Fox realized the importance of an independent school education, and that education itself can be transformative. He dedicated long work days in order to build the best Charlotte Latin it could be. Dr. Fox’s profound legacy has deep roots on this campus and Charlotte Latin is the renowned institution it is today because of his vision, dedication and leadership.
